It’s hard to let go…
It has been a while since my last post. Much is going in our lives, and I have been bad and went into my shell instead of sharing.
man-skilz.com/ is on the road. We have been offered a chance to move for work and I am currently in Minnesota getting a bit of training before I start working full time. When this opportunity came up, I spent too much time in my head and over thinking God's plan. I kept trying to out think the situation, come up with contingencies for keeping the old office open and meet everyone's needs.
A very wise woman (my wife) told me, “Let’s pray that God closes the doors to anything that is a distraction to His will.”
It’s a hard thing to do. I desire to be obedient to our Lord’s will but I was so worried about those details that even while I prayed for Him to lead us, I wasn’t letting Him lead.
It took a few more conversations with other Godly men to set me straight and remind me who I am called to be. We are the leaders of our families. We are called, like Caleb, to be willing to cross into the promised land, even if it means starting over, and fighting giants to claim our inheritance. As another wise man reminded me, God trained me up for a purpose and will put us wherever He has use of me.
Again, I will say, God’s commands and promises are not ever in contradiction. Obedience to His plan does allow Him to bless us with His provision for my family. I praise God for our opportunities to be obedient and start this new adventure as a family.
man-skilz.com/ will continue even while I am looking for a new place to teach Men's Fraternity and BIC. Keep reading, keep in touch, and pray with me for the Lord to increase my faith and my desire to be obedient.
May God Bless you all.
